If you think you have a dental emergency, thebest thing to do is to call our office right away. We will do our best to seeyou as soon as possible and to resolve the problem quickly and efficiently.
Some common dental emergencies include severetooth pain, a tooth that has been knocked out, a cracked or broken tooth, and alost dental filling or crown.
If you have a toothache, try to rinse yourmouth with warm water and use a cold compress on your cheek to reduce swelling.If the pain is severe, take ibuprofen.
If you have a broken tooth, rinse your mouthwith warm water and apply a cold compress to the outside of your mouth. Do nottry to fix the tooth yourself. Call our office right away and we will do ourbest to see you as soon as possible.
If your tooth is knocked out, try to find thetooth and rinse it off with warm water. Do not scrub it or remove any tissuethat may be attached to the tooth. If possible, try to place the tooth back inthe socket. If you are unable to do this, place the tooth in a cup of milk orwater. Call our office right away and we will do our best to see you as soon aspossible.
If you have a lost dental filling or crown,try to find the piece and rinse it off with warm water. Do not try to put itback in place yourself. Call our office right away and we will do our best tosee you as soon as possible.
